GROUP 4- HUNTIN' DEER by. emily nelson and carissa mossman
In MN hunting deer is a popular sport. Thousands of people are our on that crisp cold opening morning hoping to shoot the buck of a lifetime. This can be proved by stepping into a taxidermist shop. You will be amazed by the overflowing amount of deer heads they have in their freezers. Many people question the ethics of shooting animals but it provides many families food and an opportunity to control the population. Also, it allows you to enjoy the outdoors and become one with nature. All you need is a little patience and a buck grunt (and a gun) and you will find your self enjoying a sport that will leave your feeling accomplished with your trophy buck. So get out in that tree stand!!!

I love your guys title, that's great. I think your paragraph is good. It definitely grabbed my attention and kept me interest because I have never been hunting in my life. Also because it is coming from two women, it interested me as well. It was informative, funny and put together well in my opinion. Good work!
ReplyDeleteGreat work ladies! I was a little confused by your seconed sentence in your paragraph, but maybe its just me. "Thousands of people are our on that crisp..." the, "are our on" part is where i am confused. I found your intro to be very well written otherwise :)
ReplyDeleteFor myself I go for the doe, I think they taste better and for me having a frezzer full of yummy meat as better then a dead head on the wall. :)
Great work!

ooopps it was was suppose to say "out" instead of our!
ReplyDeleteYou guys picked a good topic, and I agree the title is very attention grabbing. Overall your paragraph was great. I don't hunt myself but my entire family does. I just get to stay home and cook them the food they get to eat when they are back, but it is nice to have the cabin to myself.
ReplyDeletegood lets all go hunting and get some good food. I was going to point out your grammar error but i guess you found it. I had some difficulty with the grammar error and that took me off the subject a bit. I think you have a topic that most are familiar with. Good job overall.
ReplyDeleteGreat topic to write about, and very descritive. Could you clarify why hunters prefer to have the head of their "dead conquests" hanging on their walls? This is in no way a negative comment against the group, but if you want to hunt for the food, why have the reminder staring at you day after day?
